Aoi wanted to deafen his ears, if only for a moment; if it stopped the screaming, if it stopped the tears he would do anything. He didn’t have time to think when he was pushed backward, Ruki screaming at him to leave; screaming at him that it was over.

“I hate you!”

Aoi thought as much, “Ruki-”

“Shut up, just shut up! I don’t want to hear it!”

The guitarist didn’t say anything as he watched the vocalist tumble to the ground, his arm still clutching at his chest; he didn’t know what to do.

“Are you happy with him?”

The tone of Ruki’s voice frightened him, “What-?”

“Are you happy now that you’re with him? Are you happy that you erased what we used to have just like that?” Ruki closed his eye; “I’m not good enough?”

“I don’t know how to dance.”

Ruki muttered under his breath as Aoi ignored his comment; happiness was evident in the elder’s eyes as he pulled the smaller man into the dance floor. “It’s easy once you get used to it,” Aoi said, slipping an arm around his waist, “all you have to do is move and I’ll do all the leading.”

“Why do you get to lead?”

Aoi smirked as he unsuspectingly dipped the vocalist, “Because I’m so good at it.”

Ruki blushed, gripping at his shoulders he tilt his head back slightly; “God dammit, Aoi pull me back up.” Aoi merely chuckled, stealing a kiss before pulling him back up.

“I won’t let you fall, promise.”

The blonde nodded, resting a head against his shoulder as they began to dance; he blushed slightly as Aoi ran his hands up and down his back as they moved to the music. It felt soothing, and he admitted that the guitarist was indeed a good dancer. He wondered how many girls or guys he danced with to be this good, “Aoi?”

“Hm?”

“I love you.”

Aoi hummed in agreement, “I love you too.”

3. Shut Up and Drive~ Rihanna

Aoi yelped as Ruki pushed him harshly against the wall, his lips pressed firmly against his as they grinded against each other; when the younger pulled away he whispered huskily, “Are you sure you can handle me?” The guitarist murmured in response when he felt Ruki’s hands on his member “Are you sure?”

“Yes, Ruki….god-dammit…”

Ruki laughed, capturing his lips again, “You’re such a whore.”

“Shut up, just shut up and do it.”

4. I Caught Myself~ Paramore

Ruki didn’t want to be in love, it was too much for him to handle in a world that was already in chaos; what he wanted was to concentrate on his music and his own thing. But he was making it hard for him, he made him look; made him watch from a distance with a look of lust in his eyes. Maybe that was what it all came down to, but he loved too many things about Aoi.

He loved his smile, his voice, he loved it when Aoi even gave him the slightest compliment; everything the man did made him want him.

So here he stood watching Aoi at his photo-shoot, basking in all his glory; and he licked his plump lips whenever the guitarist moved to strike a pose. How he loved Aoi, but he didn’t want to love Aoi.

Because he knew that it would only bring him heartache.

If he had a dollar for every time he found him standing outside his door, he would’ve been a Millionaire now. So was he surprised to find Aoi standing there with a rose in hand? No, was he impressed? Maybe, smiling at the guitarist he allowed the man into his apartment. It as rather endearing the way the guitarist would cater to his every needs.

“What brings you by this time?” Ruki murmured, pouring the guitarist a cup of coffee.

“What brings me here every night.”

Ruki blushed as he felt the raven-haired man’s eyes on him, “You’re crazy, and you know that, right?”

Aoi laughed, “I suppose, but I love you; so I guess being in love makes you do stupid things.”

“No, not stupid….Love is never stupid.”

6. The Road and the Radio~ Kenney Chesney

Aoi smiled to himself as he drove down the road, he had no destination; no purpose, but it didn’t matter. Next to him Ruki slept peacefully, a single blonde hair draped his forehead slightly; making the guitarist smile at the cuteness of the picture. A song played softly on the radio, he forgot what song it was, but that didn’t matter either.

As long as he had Ruki next to him, nothing mattered; if the world were to cease if in the last moments of his life; as long as his partner in crime…his lover was there. It didn’t matter. Because Ruki made everything clear, he was his inspiration; and that’s why Aoi loved him.

“Where are we going?”

Aoi smiled; not glancing at Ruki as the small man woke up, “Wherever you want to go, Ru-chan.”

7. All Around Me~ Flyleaf

Ruki sighed gently as he snuggled close to the person he was holding, he hadn’t known why; but he found comfort in these arms. His arms. Aoi didn’t know why either, he just stood there comforting a man who had not too long ago been screaming and throwing things. He didn’t know why he grabbed the vocalist, yelling at him to stop until he finally pulled him into an embrace.

Neither of them spoke a word, the sudden realization that they were still alive. Still Alive Aoi thought to himself, It’s not fair…

“I love you…”

Ruki’s voice was barely audible as he spoke, but Aoi heard it.

“I love you too.”

8. Truth~ Reira feat. Yuna Ito

“Are you alone?”

Aoi looked up to see the vocalist standing next to him, “No, I guess not anymore that you’re standing there.” The guitarist laughed as he placed his cigarette into his mouth, “What brings you out here?”

Ruki shrugged, “I guess I was worried about you.”

“There’s no need to be.”

“You’ve been acting different lately…”

Aoi eyed him, “I guess I have.”

The blonde let out a sigh, leaning against the brick building next to Aoi; “Do you want to talk about it?” Aoi shook his head, “I won’t tell anyone, I promise.”

“If you’re in love with someone, but you have a feeling they’ll turn you down; do you tell that person you love them anyways?”

Ruki hummed, “I suppose you should tell them, because it’s only going to be driving you insane later on.”

Aoi sighed, dropping his cancer stick onto the ground crushing it; “I love you then.”

9. DIM SCENE~ The GazettE

Ruki stared out into the distance, leaning against the balcony railing he stared down at the city below him; not too many people out late at night which was what he liked about this area. There wasn’t really anything, just peace and quiet; closing his eyes he allowed the breeze to touch his skin chilling him slightly. “I thought I might find you out here.”

The vocalist let a small smile cross his lips as he turned to face Aoi, “I can’t sleep.”

“Neither can I.”

“How can silence be so deafening?”

Aoi hummed in confusion, “What?”

“Sometimes I hear things, when there’s no words being spoken; no music, nothing….but it feels like I hear something.”

The guitarist slipped behind him, wrapping his arms around his waist lovingly; “Are you going crazy?”

Ruki laughed, resting his head against the elder’s shoulder; “No. I don’t think I can get crazier than I already am.”

“You know, I love my crazy man.”

“Shut up.”

Silence again, Ruki stared at Aoi for a moment; he had never seen Aoi this serene before, so calm. Maybe this too was the reason he found himself at his apartment, where the guitarist lived there was too much noise.

“Yeah, this crazy man loves you too.”

Aoi merely laughed.

10. I Will Follow Him~ Little Peggy March

“Stop following me!”

Aoi giggled at the sudden anger that Ruki showed, standing with his arms crossed behind his back; “What Ru-sama? I’m just heading the same way you are.”

“Whatever, I just feel like you’re stalking me.” Ruki muttered, turning his heels to walk down the hall; but stopped when Aoi followed suit, “You could follow a little less close to me, maybe ten feet?”

“But I wouldn’t get to bask in your glory.”

Ruki sighed, “Aoi…you’re so weird.”

When the vocalist started walking, Aoi followed; but this time the smaller man didn’t stop him. Aoi didn’t care, he would continue to follow Ruki the way he was, because he loved him.
